Works well enough
Aside from not receiving any instructions in the box, my Google search skills are good enough that I was able to find something close enough to get me by, but not without having to go back and redo a few things. It’s pretty self-explanatory, anyway, but instructions could’ve saved a little time. It was very easy to get it connected to my laptop and find a program to control it and make sure it worked. The one other complaint I have is the included bits. I guess it’s intended to only be an engraver, though it didn’t limit it to that in the listing, but it comes with about a dozen engraver bits, but no others. At least one cutter would’ve been helpful, but aren’t difficult to attain. Works as well as you can expect a good quality, less expensive machine to. Probably won’t cut metal, but wood, or plastic are probably fine. I’m going to try carbon fiber, but I’m still waiting on bits. I’d buy it again.

good machine
getting it set up and running was a pain until i found the free Easel software. its does exactly what i need. Would give more than 3 stars if i was more of a techy guy

Hard to assemble
Too difficult to assemble, nothing was even partially put together, dozens of little pieces, motors, shafts, brackets, side walls, base etc. . No instructions for how to use.I did not try to put it together, just returned it. I need something that has 2 or 3 sub assemblies that you simply bolt together.

Good Assembly Instructions, Doesn’t Include Offline Controller Nor Limit Switches
I ordered this to use as a test bed for CNC electronics experimentation in building and converting three larger CNC routers and one CNC mill to run on LinuxCNC. As such, I won’t be using this for any actual CNC projects, but this style of small and inexpensive machine allows adding and removing various parts and jigs easy and affordable. With that said, these small machines are capable of producing good results, although the projects will necessarily be small and the machining will take longer than more expensive machines. These small and inexpensive style of machines can be a good option for people who are interested in exploring CNCs but are concerned about the cash outlay for larger machines versus their ability to understand the processes involved. Another use case is to expose pre-teen and teenage children to CNCs, supervised of course.Assembly took me a bit under 1.5 hours, carefully proofreading and following the directions. The instructions were very comprehensive for the frame assembly, with only a few chenglish parts, it was less well done for wiring. The hardware was in clearly marked individual ziplock bags which made finding the specific items very easy.Negatives: No offline controller and no limit switches included, there are other brands in the same price range that include both of these. Only “V” bits were included, it would be nice to have at least a couple straight bits included.

Inexpensive, great starter kit.
We are still in the process of putting this together, but I have to say that it is a fun kit that can teach you a lot about CNCs. The sides and main arm are sturdy enough for the size. I have never used CNCs of this size, but I do have 3D printers and the construction on this is sturdier. Unfortunately it says that the controller does not work with Linux or Windows 11, so I either have to upgrade the controller or find an older machine. More in a bit.
