Mini laser, great for specific samll projects
We actually have two lasers in our shop and were looking for a small one that would work well for small projects including leather. This Ray 5 mini is a low power 3.5 w laser but it does a good job on specific materials. Don’t expect it to cut 3mm basswood. It comes nicely packaged and requires very little assembly. You just have to install and then focus the laser head with a provided spacer. we use Light Burn and it supports the Ray 5 mini. Power and USB cables are on the “front” edge so we positioned the unit sideways to have the cables not directly in front of you. It is small and limited in its power but it performs really well like our larger Longer Ray 5 20w system.
