Very good for us sight challenged and good for dim rooms
I don’t have the best eyes anymore, so crocheting even in the light is sometimes a tricky endeavor especially with dark colored yarn but these have made it much easier to do that when I’m having trouble seeing stitches. I mean, they’re not a beacon in the dark but they do help quite a bit. I haven’t tried actually crocheting in the complete darkness with them as like I said my eyes aren’t great but they do shine bright enough to help out with that particular issue. when I don’t want to crochet with both of my lamps on I can use these and see just fine. The hook quality is good. The sizes it comes with is the best thing about this set as now I have pretty much every size hook I could need for crocheting different projects. I have used quite a few of them so far and they all work quite well. They’re much smoother than the generic hooks you get off of amazon or in any crochet kit. The shape is not my favorite but I have one particular hook design I like to use and I have only found two manufacturers to sell that particular size and metal but these are still good and very useable.

Great little crochet hook set for the price
I love having all of my hooks in one easy-to-carry little package, instead of having to organize a bunch of separate hooks in my toolkit. The ergonomic handles are comfortable, and the light makes working in suboptimal lighting (or working with black yarn!) so much easier. I also love that there is a row counter and a stitch counter. I don’t use the stitch counter much, but the integrated row counter saves my sanity, as I’d been using a 20-sided die until I got this kit.The hooks are plastic, which is necessary for the light to work the way that it does, but this makes the smaller sized hooks flimsy. I haven’t broken any of them yet, but I know that it’s just a matter of time. They should make individual replacements that you can buy. Also, each of the hooks had a little bit of extra plastic at the top of the hook, like a seam. This causes the yarn to snag. Fortunately, I was able to use a nail file to remove it.My suggestions to the manufacturer: (1) consider making a version of this with metal hooks, and just have the light shine around the hook instead of through it; (2) make sure that the plastic is smooth with no bumps or seams; (3) offer individual hook attachments for sale, so that broken hooks can be replaced without having to purchase a whole new kit; (4) label the hooks with letter sizes as well as the numerical measurements, so that people don’t have to look up what size they’re looking for when a pattern calls for an H-sized hook.For the price, this is a great little hook set, and it’s my go-to for standard hooks now. There are a few quirks, to be sure, and you have to be careful with smaller hook sizes (if you’re working on a smaller project that needs high tension, I recommend just using a regular metal hook), but it’s certainly worth it.

Yarn keeps getting caught in hook
This would be the perfect gift for any crocheter if it wasn’t for the notch where it connects to the handle. The yarn keeps getting caught in it and disrupts the flow of my work. That is the only issue I have. Everything else works great and it is very nice that I can keep track of the rows and stitches on very long projects like this blanket. I would totally give it five stars if it wasn’t for that flaw.

Game-Changer In The Dark!
This is such a wonderful toolset to have and use whenever or wherever the light level is too low to use a regular crochet hook…in bed while the spouse is asleep, in the car on nighttime road trips, even in a dive bar while enjoying a few cold ones with friends! The 17 interchangeable sizes work with all kinds of yarn, and I just love the fact that it’s rechargeable instead of battery-operated. This kit was also less expensive than almost all of the other similar kits I saw during my search. And last but not least, the color: purple is my absolute favorite!

This was a great purchase! Super helpful when using dark yarn and an added bonus for me was being able to crochet while my husband was driving at night. The hook was bright enough for me to see what I was doing and I even needed to turn down the brightness because it was too bright for my hubby while driving! Easy to switch out diffent size hooks, they stayed secure while using them and the charge lasted a long time.

Works very well, and comfortable to use. Good quality and good value. Highly recommend 😊
