Nice hooks. 8, 9, 10 mm sizes. are true.
Smooth, no drag. I have a large collection of hooks and knitting needles. I like this style and brand. The very large crocheted blankets I create with #6 yarn was hard to crochet with my clover soft ergonomic hooks with the short shaft between hook and handle.I really like these hooks with the extra free length for thicker yarn and 5 or 6 loops on the hook for a stitch. The overall length is good, these are designed well, the hooks work good. I hold hook in my fist rather than pencil style and they feel comfortable in my hand.Simple but pretty design. I like them.I hope they last for many years.

Sturdy!
Nice sturdy hooks that are comfortable and good for making baskets. I recently started crocheting baskets using multiple strands of yarn (5-7) in an effort to make them a little more rigid, but trying to crochet tightly requires a little more muscle than standard crochet. The cushioned, thicker grips give me a better grasp and more leverage to muscle through some of the tighter stitches. I prefer Susan Bates in-line style hooks so these were a big win for me at a reasonable cost.

Most comfy crochet hooks!
Susan Bates is my favorite brand of crochet hooks, especially with the ergonomic handle for a better grip and comfort. I already have a set of these sizes without the grips but once I saw these I couldn’t resist. The thicker handle provides more comfort, especially for larger projects. The tips of these hooks are great because they’re slightly more pointed compared to other brands; this feature helps get into loops easier. I find I can crochet with more ease and speed with these hooks.

Comfortable to hold
I like that these larger sized hooks have a nice long neck. I have other cheaper hooks and when using blanket or 5 weight yarns I find some stitches ae harder to keep on the hook. These hooks keep all the stitches on the hook and I can keep moving along with frustration. The hooks are not overly large but just the right amount of cushion for my hands. No hand cramping or tiring with these hooks. I am very pleased with this brand.

Great quality…
I have not had a chance to use them yet. I love the feel of them, and the protection of not having metal pressed against my hand. The colors and the assortment are nice as well.

May be too bulky in hand
The only reason I did not give these a 5 was the handles. This would be much more comfortable without the black foam grip as it adds too much length. The hook itself is great and much smoother to crochet with than the Boye which I had on hand.

Susan Bates hooks are the BEST ones I’ve ever found, I wont use anything else. I’ve been crocheting for 5 years and have tried lots of hooks, from generic ones to Clover, Prymm, and other very expensive hooks, NOTHING compares to the Bates hooks. Hard to get hold of in the UK unfortunately but worth the wait of ordering from abroad. The point makes it so easy to get through the yarn even with tight or difficult to see stitches, and the deep throat of the hook catches every strand without splitting the yarn. The handles are comfortable too. I LOVE them and have given away every other hook I own as I will never use any other hook now that I have the whole set of Susan Bates hooks. HIGHLY recommended.

As expected, gives great results, easy to use. Just need getting used to a slightly different technique of crochet. Happy. Thank you

As a recent beginner to crocheting I ordered a bog standard cheap set of hooks. Non the wiser. I’m a few months in now… watched ALOT of tutorials, no one ever mentions the hooks?? My cheapies hurt my inner palm ( because they were made for smaller hands) After watching a brilliant tutorial on crocheting these hooks were recommended. Not available on prime but still arrived earlier than expected. Oh my! They just tick every box!!!! They have a good push through tip, an even better pull back hook! Be careful though it is sharp! …. Yes if you love making chunky
