I’m here to provide my honest experience and unbiased -picky- opinion. I ordered this for my senior mom since she knits daily and I can’t count the number of times her yarn has fallen off the couch, onto the floor, and she has to rewind it. I’m just an occasional knitter myself. I thought this would be a perfect pretty and functional gift (though I almost kept it for myself).This bowl is so nicely made. The seams are all put together very well and none are misaligned. The acacia wood is so aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and level to the touch since it’s been sanded smooth. I looked for any blemishes and couldn’t find ANY! No rough spots. It’s size and weight keeps it stable on not so stable surfaces like a couch cushion. Tested it out with various weights of yarn and all glided through the holes and curl design nicely, and the bowl stayed in placed as yarn was pulled through. The size works well for holding several smaller skeins or balls, or one or two larger ones.This bowl seems like something you’d find made by an artesian at an art fair or farmers’ market. Even though this is a bit expensive at $29, to me it was worth it due to it’s quality as a well-constructed wood item, it’s a good value for the money.This is a quality product and not only would I recommend it, I would purchase it again-maybe for myself =0) . This yarn bowl is beautiful! It’s well crafted with lovely wood-grain patterns throughout. It’s almost elegant! There are two options for which users can thread strands the curly cues detailed into the wood. The plain wood finish is simple and pretty. It also allows for personalization, and even a deeper stain if so desired. It held three smaller balls of yarn, and easily held two full skeins for double-yarn knitting. It’s a nice size, and yet still light weight. The bowl easily rests on the couch or chair next to me. It would make a lovely gift for knitters or crocheters!

This yarn bowl is the perfect size for jumbo skeins of yarn (or for working with multiple skeins at once). I’m making a blanket for my son with these huge skeins that don’t fit in the yarn bowl I usually use but this wood bowl works perfectly. There are numerous openings for threading different skeins of yarn through and it’s easy to carry my project around in it too as the bowl is very lightweight. It’s also attractive and nicely designed so it looks great just sitting out on the table. I’m going to be getting a ton of use out of this!

Crocheters/Knitters Dream
I have a couple of single skein capacity yarn bowls – one plastic, one wooden. I had a third, ceramic bowl but over time the “hook” part of the bowl just broke off. I much prefer the wooden bowl for a smooth feed of yard and this 3-skein capacity bowl is a game changer! I am currently working on a mosiac crocheted afghan with a number of color changes – this makes it so much easier – no balls of yarn escaping to roll across the floor where my cat thinks I have gifted her a new toy!!

Perfect for multiple skeins of yarn
This is such a great yarn bowl. I love the oblong style since most skeins of yarn are more like a log than a ball. It also accommodates more than one skein or ball and has extra holes in case you use more than one. The bamboo construction is very smooth so you don’t have to worry about snags. I think I will use this on repeat as I am an avid crocheter.
