Great value!
I bought two of these to test out different media. I personally am not using it as a sketch pad to keep all my drawings, but more to test out subject matter, values, media, etc. Strathmore is a very good company, and this was a deal I couldn’t refuse. I’ve used pen, ink, watercolor, colored pencil, graphite and all work fine for my purpose on this paper. I wouldn’t use this for something I’d want to frame; the paper is not sturdy for final works, but great for quick studies. It’s also a bright white, not an off-white if that is something you need to know. I’d buy this again for sure.

Must have for artists
I’ve been using the Strathmore 200 Series Sketch Pad for practice sketches and quick ideas, and it’s a fantastic choice for beginner to intermediate artists. The paper is lightweight but holds up well to dry media like pencil, charcoal, and even light ink work. The smooth texture is ideal for clean lines, and erasing is easy without damaging the paper. While it’s not intended for heavy blending or wet media, it’s perfect for quick studies and experimentation. The 100-sheet count also gives great value for the price, making it a staple for art classes or casual sketching. A must-have for anyone looking to practice and refine their skills!

When making acrylic paint monoprints on my Gel plates(‘Gelli Arts’ & ‘Gel Plate Monoprint’), I use this paper to both pull prints and also clean off excess paint from my brayer. The paper holds up surprisingly well to multiple layers of thin & thicker paints & various paint mediums. Held up great when used with my Gelli Plate & Alcohol Inks too. My paper pad arrived in perfect condition, no bends or creases or tears. I’ve ordered these *multiple* times over the last 10 years. Quality has not faltered. Def recommend the product.. before reviewing, do lots of experimenting with your medium of choice whether it’s charcoal, pencil, ink, paint etc. It’s not going to hold up to lots of wetness like watercolor painting or juicy pens but it’s been great with Liquitex mediums, Liquitex acrylic paint, Apple Barrel paint, Mont Marte paint, chameleon micca powders, alcohol inks + gel hand sanitizer + Alcohol Ink Lifter or thick white acrylic paint and glue as well. It takes glue stick form better than gel glue but both work. Very flexible product that I’ll continue to purchase! It can bleed thru a bit with the wetter Piñata inks I’ve experimented with but I’ve had no major issues as I use the pages I pull in collage 🙂

Got this notebook for my nephew to draw and collect his artwork in one spot. Lovely paper. Feels so smooth and not thin but perfect thickness. Perfect for my 8 year old new old learning to draw!Pros: light weight, easy to draw and Color’s are vibrant on paper. Lots of pages and Drawing stay in one booklet. Great price!Only with is this was a booklet with rings but that’s a personal preference.Overall, great booklet for price.
