Excellent little heat gun for crafts
I got this heat gun to help remove old trim that was glued solidly to a wooden dollhouse, and it works perfectly. It has two heat settings, and it heats up quickly. The nozzle is big enough to be effective but small enough to concentrate the heat on a small area, which is important when you’re working with smaller pieces and trying to avoid damaging material around the area where you’re working. Very happy with this purchase.

Perfect for shrink tubing.
So far so good. Great even. It’s perfect for shrink tubing. Much better than a candle or lighter. It’s not overly loud especially when sitting on a soft surface. I put it on cardboard. It’s insulates it from direct contact with the counter.

Hits the sweet HOT spot
This was a perfect example of “Gee, wouldn’t it be great if someone makes a ….” In this case it was a smaller than a hurricane hot air blower that I could use for focusing on heat-shrink tubing type tasks, et cetera without worrying about melting the surrounding elements. So, I searched and Bingo-Bango the PRULDE popped up. Deciding to buy this after a reasonable review of features and, yes, useful comments from guys like me was a no brainer. The 2-speed/heat selector switch allows some temperature modulation. The construction has a robust feel, offers a portable stand and I particularly like the straight thru versus pistol grip approach. This has become my absolute “go to” for more than I had expected it would be. Example: when I cut nylon cord or rope I always melt the ends to prevent unravelling and this is the safest and most effective tool for that. The list goes on, but you get the idea. Nicely done, PRULDE.

It’s a lot easier to use than my regular one
Size and kind of directed flow of hot air, for shrink tubing or where ever hot air is needed. It fits better on my hobby table than my large one and has the built in tip raiser to keep the hot tip off the bench. It has 2 speeds and also comes with a smaller concentrated tip (see picts) which works really good for me with shrink tube. I have not yet used the higher speed as the low works very well for my needs. I dont know this brand, but it was a good price, so I have no clue to it’s longevity. I really like mine and I am sure there are tons of other uses for this heat gun (not hair) and I recommend it.
