    Nice set
The set is really nice. It changed my life. Dependable has shorter needles for knitting inside a hat. The cables are more flexible., This particular set is a full set of almost every needle size I think I’ll ever need. It comes with extra parts. Ur comes with directions. It comes with a nice carrying case that zips closed. Just a nice complete set

Why didn’t I buy these sooner
If you’re picking up the hobby and don’t know if you’re going to actively be knitting that much, I wouldn’t stress on getting these.but if you honestly knit all the time and want something comfortable and smooth, GET THESE WITHOUT ANY BUYER REMORSE.I bought these and instantly felt regret (even though the price is incredibly reasonable compared to most).I’m incredibly frugal when it comes to spending on my knitting items, but I was really uncomfortable with my Takumi Bamboo interchangeable set. I often wouldn’t even pick up projects because my fingers and palms would ache after having to knit with the tension they provided! So I bought these and my cheap side was all OH NOOO WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!??But ONCE I picked these up for a project, they felt so comfortable. I personally love how pointy and smooth they are. I know some prefer rounded tips (so they don’t break the yarn) and the tension wooden/bamboo needles make to hold their stitched in place, but this build helped my hands make stitches at an even/smoother pace.I loved that the stitches just rolled off as I knitted (Continental knitter). No extra strain in my hand with having to squeeze stitches off the needle to the wire, no index finger pain from having to push the needle away or in the yarn. Just smooth sailing.I instanyl bought the Mini Chiogoo set after experiencing these. The iconic Chiaogoo wire is my all time favorite now. It’s strong enough to knit two sleeves at the same time and no twist!!! NO TWIST. ugh.And their build of (L) and (s) sizes is genius. My takumi would just build a collection of finished stitches at the end of my needles that I would have to pull them to the wire because the large metal connector was keeping the small stitches in place. The small sized wires with chiaogoo makes the metal connect match the size of your stitches. GENIUS! I didn’t even know that this small detail would make a difference, but my knitting speed has improved because of it. (Also no more tugging at wool and making it look felt-like)If you want a set that you want to keep forever and ranges form hat making to sweater making. THIS IS THE SET.I followed the advice to stay with the 4 inch needles since some say making hats with the longer needles was tedious.

Wonderful. Great quality. Smooth ride for my stitches.
I love these needles!! They are just as described by many. I have been using KnitPicks laminated wood circular needles for a while, which I do like. I recently bought ChiaoGoo Lace Minis and was really amazed by them. So I thought It might be time to upgrade my circular needles. I am just as amazed at the quality and ease of use of these as the minis. I really enjoy the sharp tips. It makes it much easier to do cable stitches and undo stitches. The sharp tips can get into those tight cable stitches much better than my KnitPicks needles. I’m also enjoying the smoothness of these ChiaoGoo needles. They are brushed which holds the yarn back just enough so that they don’t slide right off. But they are still really slick and makes it really easy to push and pull my stitches around. I didn’t really understand what it meant that the cable to these needles had no memory. Once I pulled them out of the package I finally got it. It doesn’t retain the coil like the other circular needles. When you dangle it in the air it just goes completely slack. The cable and the needles are very light weight. I was worried that I would hate the sound of these needles. I don’t generally like the sound of metal clanking together. But these needles have a general muted clicking sound. Kind of like the sound of your nails taping your teeth. Sometimes they don’t even make a sound. I also was worried that the sliding of metal needles would annoy me. The sound is a gentle swooshing that I’m okay with. I chose the 4” needle set instead of the 5” because I have been doing a lot of hats and the 4” would allow me to get to a 16” circle. I also have small hands and thought that in the long run I could still use them comfortably for other projects. So far they fit my hands well. My pinky can rest right at the base/end of the needle. I am really happy with this new addition to my knitting basket.

    LOVE THESE NEEDLES!
I realize that these are expensive but they are the best purchase I have made for my knitting. I now have every needle size and cord size I will ever need. You can join the cords to make them longer which is a great bonus. The yarn slides off the needle nicely but doesn’t slip to point where I drop stitches. They come in a great fabric case to organize them so I never have to search for needles and cords. Make sure you use the tool to tighten the cord to the needle. If you do this they won’t disconnect and drop stitches off the needle. I’ve never had that happen with this set. I absolutely love my ChiaoGoo! Even though they were expensive I think if you purchase all the needles and cord sizes individually it would cost far more. I highly recommend ChiaoGoo.

I have not knitted for decades. Too busy with career and raising a family. I started again a couple of months ago and discovered the joy of using circular needles after previously using straight ones. After much research I chose the Chiaogoo complete set. The set is fantastic. I love that you can pick up a pattern and have the correct size needles and cable length at hand. Definitely a worthy investment.

I had been watching this needle set for some months and bought when the price dropped, and I’m very pleased with it. There seemed to have been some confusion about what comes in the complete set, so this is what I received: 13 needle tips sized 2.75, 3.25, 3.5, 3.75, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0 mm; 4 cables for the small sizes and 4 cables for the large sizes – 2 x 8″, 14″ and 22″, so 8 cables in all; 24 stitch markers in 4 sizes which are very smooth; 2 tightening pins; 2 large end caps and 2 small end caps; 1 large cable connector and 1 small cable connector to join cables to make longer ones; a ruler and needle guide. The case is lovely and holds everything in place with extra slots for other needle tips which can be purchased separately.I have smallish hands, so the 4″ tips was fine for me and allow me to make 16″ circulars to knit hats. The needles are quite pointy, but not so much as to hurt fingers. I feel that my knitting is a bit quicker with the steel needles but they aren’t so slippery that the stitches fall off all the time. So far, I’ve been keeping to the gauge of the patterns I’ve been using as well. The cables are terrific as they don’t hold their curled up shape from the storage bag. The joins are smooth, and I would recommend using the tightening pins as they really do hold the join securely. I plan on buying more of the small cable connectors to use with my Boye set as the small cables will work with those needle tips making the Boyes far more useful (the original Boye cables are too stiff). My only critique is that the etched sizing on the needle tips is quite faint and I can’t even see the lettering in some lights. I have the Clover Takumi, Boye and Denise sets, and this Chiaogoo set is my favourite.ETA: There are questions asking if the 5″ tips can be used with the cables of this set – yes. As long as the join size is the same, all Chiaogoo cables go with all tips; so small to small, large to large or mini to mini. The cables of the Spin tips fit on the Twist tips and vice versa.
