Perfect Sketch Pad For On The Go Artists
Purchased this for my son’s girlfriend. She loves to draw & this is a perfect stocking stuffer for her. I was trying to find some things she might enjoy & this is the perfect size for putting in her purse. Great sketch pad for on the go. I found quite a few sketch pads but most of them have pages that are bound to the book. This makes them difficult to remove as the entire book eventually starts falling apart. This book has rings so the pages can easily be removed without compromising the binding. The paper appears to be a good quality thickness. It is the perfect little notebook for anyone who wants an on the go sketch pad.

Very large, very nice, but thin.
This sketch pad is very nice for exactly that: sketching. This will provide more than enough room on each page to do many things and has more than enough pages to last you a while, which is great for the price. The only issue is that the pages are very thin. I am used to using sketchbooks with thicker paper that have a toothier surface. In this sketchbook, you wouldn’t be able to do anything like watercolor or anything else that would potentially bleed through.I have used sharpies on them and they seem to work ok. They will bleed to the other side but will rarely bleed to the next page unless you apply a lot or apply layers.Basically, this pad is designed for dry sketching only.Pros:-Great price-Large pages-Plenty of pagesCons:-Thin pages (can’t use any wet medium or things that will bleed through)

A Blank Canvas
If you’re taking an Art class, I suggest buying this book. The paper weight is heavy, and has no bleed through. The pages are also extremely rip resistant. This book is essential if you’re studying art. Also, there’s a good chance your Professor recommended this product to you!

Great for mechanical pencil sketches, but not much else
Drawing in this sketchbook feels great for quick pencil sketches, as the pages are fairly large and have a slight texture, but a overall smooth feeling to them, which prevents the pencil graphite from snagging or breaking as easily as it does on more textured paper. I would not recommend it to anyone who wants to experiment and/or render with a lot of different art supplies, because the pages are a bit on the flimsy side and they don’t hold pigment from dry mediums very well, because of their smoothness, and pen ink tends to bleed. I think Canson’s mixed media sketchbooks are a much better alternative for that, since they can also handle wet mediums extremely well, but Strathmore is the best for quick pencil sketches in my experience.

I like this size. Lots of paper in it. Great for quick sketches or doodling.

Leider hat das Papier durchgehend sehr viele Falten. Auf der Seite 3 war sogar ein Riss.Hat ja 100 Blätter aber durchgehend die Falten ist nicht schön

My daughter’s favorite travel sized sketchbook. She love the size for carrying around all day, easily, and the paper texture.
