Budget priced heat press still has decent quality, but poor instructions and no support
I bought this “RoyalPress 15″ x 15″ Color LED Industrial-Quality Digital Sublimation Heat Transfer Machine” heat press for two purposes. First, I wanted to make small quantities of T-shirts using those laser-printable decals, which require a heat press to apply to the shirts. Second, I wanted to use it for the ‘thermal toner transfer’ scheme of making small quantities of printed circuit boards for electronics projects.I was impressed by the apparent mechanical quality, considering the fairly low price. This machine seems like it is well built, with a couple exceptions in my case (one of two wires entering the control box is missing a grommet where it passes through the sheet metal hole, and a small weld on the main handle was not actually joining two pieces of metal (I re-welded it myself rather than send it back to the seller).The units is large and heavy; it uses a lot of shelf/table space, and needs to rest on a solid surface, especially when whanging down the main handle to close the press. It also needs to have a fairly deep open space above it, as the main handle rises far up when the press is open.The included instructions did not match the control unit that was part of the press I received. However, the instructions did include a link (URL) to a YouTube video where a Chinese woman, who is speaking English but with such poor pronunciation that she is very hard to understand, demonstrates this model in a version that matches the (3-button) control unit that my heat press came with. So I just jotted down what she was demonstrating and made my own user’s manual.The control unit (at least the 3-button version my press has) is simple once you finally understand how to use it. It has a large, clear (albeit somewhat dim) color display consisting of three rows of numbers. The top number, which also has the largest size digits, shows the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. The same displayed number represents the temperature setting during setup, and then represents the actual operating temperature during use. The middle number is the timer setting in seconds, and this counts down from the setting to zero during each press cycle, followed by a loud beeping alarm when the count down reaches zero; the counter display returns to show the timer setting after the press is opened at the end of a cycle. The third number, and also the smallest of the three, is a simple ‘cycle counter’; if you are using the heat press to make shirts, this counter will help you keep track of how many shirts you have made (heat pressed), as it automatically increments at the end of each cycle as the press is opened to remove the shirt, etc. One of the three buttons does double duty by allowing the counter to be reset to zero at the start of the next batch of shirts or whatever.Other indications on the display include small icons that appear to represent the status of the heating elements. I say ‘elements’ (plural) because there are two such icons, and they seem to indicate independent heating element operation in order to regulate the temperature to the setpoint.The three buttons are “SET” (to enter and exit the Setup mode, and cycle through the presets), UP and DOWN to change whichever preset is currently flashing on the display during setup. The DN button is also used to reset the counter.This heater can be operated from any normal 15A or 20A residential or industrial 120VAC circuit. The heater should be plugged into an outlet that is on its own circuit breaker, as it can a full power draw enough current to preclude anything else using the same circuit at the same time (especially on a 15A circuit).

Best heat press
This is the best heat press I have had. For the price it is a steal. Pressure is great. Easy to use right out the box. So smooth and love the auto counter is very nice.

Tarde mas en sacar el producto de la caja que en lo que la cale y se quemo. Seguí todos los pasos para tener el espacio adecuado con el voltaje correcto y aun así se quemo en el primer intento…definitivamente no lo compren y eviten perder su tiempo.
