Multi-use toning training aid.
When I received the GymCope bands my first goal was to relay how well they are built. I mean they’re just a big rubber band, right? Probably tear them into little pieces, right? Not so fast. These are well made, thick bands constructed of what they call Thermoplastic Elastomer. I feel smarter just saying it. All kidding aside the bands are nice. Each one clearly marked with resistance level even though it is easy to tell just by the width of the band which one is the higher resistance. The exercise instructions are very vague but the one caution point listed is do not stretch more than 2.5 times the original length. Easy to do with the smaller bands.Being exclusively a barbell and dumbbell workout guy, I went into my home gym to figure out how these could best be used. Here are my findings.1. They work great for pre-stretching and warmup before your heavier traditional weight-based workout. You can move your hands, elbows, shoulders and entire body freely into the best stretching positions suited for you. You cannot do this on a fixed position machine.2. If you do general calisthenics for fitness, you can add resistance by incorporating bands with your exercises. Pushups, squats (Knee bends), shoulder press, etc. The 5-pack I received had bands ranging from 15-120 lbs. The 120 lb. was quite humbling on a couple attempted exercises. Also includes a small storage bag.3. If you have no training aids at all and/or are space limited. If this will be your only training apparatus, I was able to attach one end to a fixed location and do at least one specific targeted movement for all 6 major muscle groups. Those looking for general muscle toning of specific body parts the advantage of a band is the most resistance (band stretched) is in the muscle contracted position. Tricep extensions, upright rows, bicep curls, one arm rows all can be performed effectively. The rubber material has a excellent grippiness to it rather you grip with your hand or use ingenuity to figure out alternatives that what work best for you.

A safer alternative to free weights
I just received these GymCope Resistance Bands today.Upon opening the box, I was immediately impressed with the appearance of the product. They are THICK. This is an impressive looking product. So, I just had to go through a workout with them. The length was perfect.I had a little difficulty deciphering the motions as illustrated in the recommended exercises photos. So I just improvised. And I’ll tell you what, after just 15 minutes of stretching the black and the red bands, I felt like I had one of the best workouts I have ever had. This was actually more intensive than a workout with free weights. AND A LOT SAFER, TOO.I am up in years and find that I am no longer comfortable lifting weights, possibly because of the stress that it puts on my joints. With these resistance bands, I was no longer concerned about hurting myself. After about 15 minutes of various experimental exercises, I felt like I just had 60 minutes of extreme cardio. You can really get creative with your routine and find ways to mix it up each time you work out.I’m loving these resistance bands and considering making this my sole training method. The quality is superb. And the price is right.

Comfortable bands, but a few small drawbacks
These resistance bands work well for workouts and stretching. The included carry case is convenient, though it does feel a bit inexpensive. The bands were slightly long for me, but I’m extremely short, so that likely won’t be an issue for most people. Overall, a solid set that’s easy to store and take on the go.

Solid bands, Good quality, and luckily no snap scares so far 🙂
These are exactly what I was hoping for. Simple resistance bands, but they feel well-made and sturdy. Like with any band, the first few pulls come with that fear of getting smacked in the face, at least for myself, but after a couple sessions, that anxiety (mostly) disappeared. They’ve held up great and give consistent resistance! They come with a nice little storage bag which I appreciate. The bands are on the thinner side width-wise, which I actually prefer because they’re easier to grip and adjust, but some folks might be more into the wider band style.Price seems slightly higher than a few competitors unless you catch a coupon, but the quality is there to speak to the extra couple of dollars I’d think. I’m going to be using these regularly and I’m happy to have them. Just make sure you secure them properly if you’re anchoring with your feet or furniture as these are thick enough that if they pop loose, they’re absolutely going to leave a mark.5 stars for a reliable set that does exactly what I need.

Outstanding Quality and Versatility
These GymCope resistance bands are thick, sturdy, and very high quality. Right out of the box they look and feel well-made. After just 15 minutes of use, I felt like I had done a full, intense workout honestly more effective and much safer than free weights, especially for my joints. The bands provide consistent resistance. and offer a great range for all fitness levels from rehab and stretching to serious strength training. The red band is perfect for most exercises, while the heavier black band is very challenging. The lighter bands are great for beginners or recovery.I love how versatile they are you can easily get creative with workouts at home or while traveling. The included storage bag is a nice bonus, and the latex feels durable and reliable.Excellent quality, great performance, and worth the price. A solid 5 star set that delivers a serious workout for anyone, no matter their fitness level.
