Functional and Aesthetically-Pleasing
This is a very high quality wood yarn bowl. It’s not too heavy and the holes and curves serve their purpose. I’m a novice crocheter, so my yarn is still getting tangled because my tension isn’t so great. In addition, I am not using a yarn cake, so the skein is moving around too much in the bowl.I think this bowl is still useful to me, because it keeps the yarn from collecting dust and rolling around on the floor. And, it adds to the room decor, as I placed it onto my desk. This will definitely help when I become more advanced and need to work with multiple yarn strands.

Beautiful Yarn Bowl
Perfect for knitting. Pretty finish, smooth holes, and heavy enough so it stays in place. Very happy with purchase

A bit rough around the edges
This is a pretty little bowl, good for keeping a yarn ball from wandering. As others have mentioned, the spiral for controlling the yarn is not sanded perfectly smooth and the edge is chipped and a little scuffed. Did I get one of the returned bowls? But I’m a beginning knitter and at least I won’t get upset if it gets banged about. The quality could be better for $27, but then, this isn’t an artwork, exactly. If you want it for a nice gift, keep looking.

Beautifully crafted and holds good size yarn balls
Beautifully crafted and holds good size yarn balls. Works better with skeins that have been wound into balls with a swift than with commercially wound yarn balls, which is fine by me. Love that i can leave it out as decoration when not in use 😊

Nice quality
My favorite from the two stains, I have both light and dark! I love them both, they are very pretty and they hold one ball, so not too large.

Adorable but way too small….
‘This is such a cute bowl but it is incredibly small. I was able to stuff a Red Heart Wrap “cake” into it but the yarn wouldn’t turn because the bowl is so small. It is definitely NOT six inches across the inside diameter.I should have taken a picture before I returned it. The bowl is not usable for a project bigger than a small doily.

Absolutely beautiful
My husband purchased this for my mother’s day gift! I’m a happy lady. It’s beautiful and can hold a light weight 5oz mandala baby yarn. I love it!! It’s beautiful and the pictures don’t do it any just. It’s a wonderful finish and has a nice weight. (The yarn ball winder is great as well!) 😊

Poor finishing
I like the size of this bowl, but I do not like the finish. It is rough in spots, has several blemishes, including a horizontal line where two pieces of wood are attached to make the bowl; ie. this is not made from a single piece of wood. The worst part is the cut-out curved section, meant for the strand of yarn to go through. It is barely coated at all with the finish and had wood pieces that catch and snag the yarn. I do not know how this bowl received such good reviews, which is why I purchased it, but it did not meet my expectations.

Beautiful timber bowl for my yarn. As I was expecting. No rough edges and great size.
