Great to use for blocking specifically for my knitting projects. I got my knitted hats nice and squared off and flat. So grateful it comes with the pins too.

Perfect for blocking small projects
I got these to help with not only my small knitting and crochet items but also for stretching my cross stitch that got a little out of shape.The pins work on my larger count fabric and for my delicate stuff I just use thin straight pins without a problem. The gridded lines make it very easy to ensure that I have things lined up straight. I like the fact that I can add on to these so make it bigger.. For me the 12×22 makes it easy to store when not in use. Also for traveling. They are holding up well for what I need. I know it says you can iron on them and I might give that a try as it will beat getting out my huge mat for ironing something small. When I do I will be sure to edit my entry.All in all fit well in a tiny place. This would be a great addition to anyone crafting.

Great blocking mats at a hood ptice
The mats arrived with a faint odor to them—reminiscent of the smell of dried daisy flowers. Not objectionable and definitely not a strong smell—I had to put my nose right up to a mat to smell anything.Remembering that bright sunlight us a great purifier, I laid the mats on a wrought iron patio table in the hot sun snd left them there for 2 days.When I retrieved them there was absolutely no smell at all.I plan to purchase some more mats. I like the price of these, and need a bunch more.

Extremely scented
The mats themselves are fine, they’re exactly as described and how you’d expect, except they are so strongly scented that my hands and crochet smell like it after pinning just one granny square. It smells horrible, like they tried to cover a chemical smell by spraying an entire bottle of lavender perfume on it. I’m not gonna return it because it’s not worth the time but I can’t even use it without it triggering a migraine immediately. I’d save your money and buy any other brand

Great blocking mats. Only enough for a small project
I use blocking mats all the time. If you use them a lot they are quickly filled with pinholes. If you use them, you have almost certainly wished you had a couple more blocks.The number of mats included here would only be suitable for small projects. But they could be added to an existing set of mats to be able to block very large projects.The included pins are a nice addition.

Nice Small Project Blocking Mat
My wife could use another blocking mat set and so decided to giv this a tryThe mats connected well, held well, and didn’t have any obvious odor. They’re a little thinner than other squares she has and the interlock doesn’t align/work with her other mats (I guess there’s no “standard” for the interlock pattern).These will work well for smaller projects where you have limited storage space.

What a great mat set. Each mat is numbered so that the 1″x1″ grid lines up perfectly and the 50 included steel T-pins will hold down whatever you’ve got. They are small-ish pins so if you have a thicker project you may want to order some more substantial pins but they will suit my needs well. I’m very pleased with this and the mats are presently holding a purse project firmly in place while it dries. Thumbs up.
