Excellent kit for beginners like me, came with absolutely everything needed to get started (as advertised), all the tools, user manual, lots of yarn colors and even a QR Code that directs you to a YouTube page for beginners! Only negative takeaway, is the yarn is super small, much thinner than the yarn I see in How-To videos BUT I also found a video that shows how to turn the thin pieces into thicker pieces so it works for now and when I get better I’ll go out and buy better yarn…But this kit definitely puts me off to a great start! 🥰

Completely amazed and satisfied!
Excellent deal with this kit! It is very beginner friendly, but even for someone skilled like me, it’s a fun addition. I do smaller projects that I crochet for random acts of kindness and the yarn has so many color choices; fun ones at that! I like having the user manual that shows the different stitches (because sometimes I have a moment of forgetfulness), stitch abbreviations, and how to read the crochet symbols which is something I’ve been wanting to learn. The plastic accessory kit inside has everything you’ll need. I REALLY love the hooks that came with it because I don’t have much of a pincher grasp due to an old injury between my thumb and index finger, so the grips really help. Hook quality is nice! They would be great for young kids just starting out. They have a nice grip and feel. I love that there are stitch markers and a row counter included, it definitely will be a great addition to helping me keep track and place. Now I will say this as far as the yarn but won’t remove the 5 stars because I knew what I was getting, they are small, but that’s okay by me because I can go by bigger skeins of yarn in a similar or close color if I like it. The yarn quality is nice; it’s a little thinner than I expected but for what this yarn is going to be used for, it’s actually perfect. The tote bag is the perfect size and nice quality; everything fits in nicely and I can take it with me if I want to crochet along the way or wherever I go. Plus being able to see inside without opening is neat. It’s definitely better than the shoebox of things I have! So for beginners, kids wanting to learn, anyone wanting to make small gifts, this is definitely a great choice especially for the price!

Misleading number of yards per ball but good quality
OK for starters, the colors are gorgeous and the yarn itself is extremely soft. Everything in the package came about as described, except for the number of yrds. I expected there to be 1600 yards per yard ball to make beanies but it wasn’t. The neon green one is from this kit while the pastel green one is how much I was able to get out of a dollar tree yarn ball.Takeaways: The kit is great for beginners trying out small projects, but for large projects its impractical. The yarn is extremely soft and shiny, so it can be hard yet rewarding to work with if it’s your first time(such as being hard to grip due to slip). My suggestion for beginners looking to practice would be to buy this kit but for more experienced people looking to make large projects I would suggest buying the tools from the actual yarn it self separately due to limited yrds of yarn.

Enjoyed using this as a starter kit for my new hobby. Lots of tools and yarn with many different colors that are pretty. The case it comes in is perfect size that makes it easier to carry.

Cheaply made carry bag and hook case. The material is very thin and crappy.Yarn- there is very little in the skein. Prolly enough to make 1 small project like hand size project.Definately not worth the$32.99 I paid.Seller photos make skeins look bigger than they are.That being said, it is good for beginners. It has all the items a beginner, practicing crocheter will need to get started.The multi-color yarns are good for finishing projects when you need to use just a little yarn. There is no detail on the yarn of how much is in each skein.The hooks are nice. I never used the aluminum with rubber handles before and they are nice, comfortable, and easy to use.Overall: I just do not think the kit is worth the money spent. If it was $19.99, sure. But again I paid $32.99 and to me it was spendy for the items received, quality of items, and amount of items. It’s just not a value. I would pass on this purchase and not recommend.I did keep the items only because it’s just too difficult to return. Meaning I’d have to go more out of my way then it is worth to do so. Amazon also isn’t allowing me free, no packing/boxing option. I’d have to print a label or have UPS come to my home and I don’t have a printer nor able to be home for a pick up.Wished Amazon would go back to where we can just take item to a UPS location, have them scan the return code and be done with it. Ugh!
