So practical!
I believe this item is extremely practical. Every one of us has had that very uncomfortable moment when your zipper breaks, that button that makes your clothes feel way too airy falls off and you start your super fun adventure of trying to staple it together, ask your friends/coworkers if they have a safety pin you can borrow, or maybe cloth tape, only to find out they, in fact, have nothing of the sort. If you are anything like me, you’d love this kit, it has basically everything you need to save yourself if you are in a bind that only a sewing kit can help you out of that situation, even there are things I’m still trying to figure out how to use, but among the one I can identify are: a thimble, scissors, buttons in almost every color (sadly not every size, but that would almost be magical), thread in every possible color and even some that are not necessarily very common, seam ripper, a crochet needle (!!!), tape measure, safety pins, magnifying glass and a lot of other very practical items.I’m far from being a professional seamstress, but my mama raised no fool and she taught me how to sew both by hand and with a sewing machine from a very early age,and I was absolutely pleased when I realized that the scissors seem to be very professional ones and highly adequate for cutting fabric and other materials. I love that I finally have a pair of scissors I can dedicate exclusively to sewing, because, as any person who sews knows, nothing dulls your scissors faster than multitasking. The thread would be enough for a quick job of fixing a button that falls off or something similar, not good enough to last you a lifetime, but what is, really?I have yet to try other items in the bag, but for the people who loves to crochet, I believe the needle for that particular purpose looks extremely sturdy and well made and can’t wait to try and crochet something.

The title and product description misleadingly imply you are purchasing a handheld sewing machine, but there is no machine included—only the accessories (needles, thread, scissors, thimble, etc.) contained in a zippered case. If you are expecting a motorized device, you will be disappointed.Secondly, the quality of the case itself is slightly disappointing, as the zipper does not close all the way. This leaves a small gap, which can potentially allow dust or moisture in, or allow smaller items to fall out if the kit is tossed into a bag.Despite these flaws, the kit contains a good variety of necessary items for travel or emergency repairs. However, given the misleading description and the faulty zipper, buyers should manage their expectations accordingly and know exactly what they are getting: a simple collection of handheld sewing supplies.

** I am reviewing the sewing accessories kit only, not the handheld sewing machine. **The carrying case is a polyester fabric over a harder structural interior (maybe cardboard, but I don’t know for sure). It has a handle and zips around about 3/4 of the exterior.I was impressed with everything that is included in this kit!! It has a pair of medium scissors, crochet hook, yarn needle, yarn cutter, metal snap buttons, plastic buttons of varying colors, measuring tape, thimble, a safety wheel of colored pins, plastic/metal clamps, 30 sewing needles of various sizes, safety pins, a needle threader, small magnifying glass, a fabric pencil and 48 small thread spools in a variety of colors.For a fairly basic sewing kit or to use as a travel kit, I think it’s good quality for the price.
