This was so cheap, that on impulse I bought one. I planed on using it for entirely something else. However it’s actually really nice. True to size and one of the best inexpensive self healer mats I’ve had in, well, ever. I’ve been using it for 6 plus months and not being the kindest to it. Mats still looking brand new perfect. Definitely recommend you buy more than one

Very small – You get what you pay for
this is very small, which is on me, but it is still comically small. however the reduced stars is because it doesn’t seem to self heal quite right. Maybe I cut too hard, but it seems to retain cuts deeply after using it approx. 10 times. I also find fabric gets “bitten” by the cut mat and pieces are stuck in it, or it frays the cut. I got this brand new to quilting trying to save a couple bucks and now I see why the other mats (I had a nice green one long ago so know the difference) are priced as they are. Buyer beware. All that said, it is perfect, and I mean perfect, for english paper piecing basting and other small piece basting. It is small enough it doesn’t need to spin, can just pick it up and gently set down or slide around the desk. Would I buy it again? No, but I will use it until it can’t be cut on, as well as use it for basting and sewing on the go as a lap board.

Best little cutting Mat
I bought this mat to protect my desk while cutting vinyl, etc. works as described. Small and easy to store. Quite durable for the price. I enjoy having the ruler grid for precision purposes. I would buy again.
