This yarn winder works great for average-sized skeins and is a huge time saver. It’s stable and easy to use, and I had no issues at all—at first. Unfortunately, it doesn’t hold up well with frequent or high-volume use. After about three months of heavy usage, the motor started to wear out and struggled to wind a full skein.Despite its short lifespan, I keep coming back to it because it still outperforms any hand winder I’ve tried. Just know that it’s best suited for occasional use.I also tried the larger capacity version hoping it would handle bigger skeins better, but it was a disappointment—extremely loud, constantly got stuck, and didn’t work at all for my needs. I ended up returning it.If you’re a casual user, this winder is a great tool. Just be aware of its limitations if you’re winding yarn frequently or in large quantities.

Works as described & very easy to use.
I am extremely pleased with my new Etcokei Electric Yarn Winder. I have used it many times already. It is very easy to use and clamps securely to the edge of my wooden TV tray. Also, when I crochet using a ball of yarn made with the Etcokei Electric Yarn Winder, the yarn comes off the ball very easily and smoothly. This makes crocheting a much easier process. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who crochets and/or knits.

Great gadget. It does the job so quickly and saves painful wrists from repetitive strain. I love it. Made all my wool fit in cupboard better. Now uts organised and not all over the place. Really glad I got it. U have to supervise it as the wool yarn can knot but easily fixed. It is hard at it now while I write this.
