This Dewalt Tape Measure is a BIG upgrade from the cheap tapes I’ve always had. The tape itself is nice and rigid, it retracts well and holds itself up when being stretched over 6ft which is nice if you are measuring alone.

Bought this as part of a Christmas present for my Dewalt loving friend. It was a great price for a 30 ft tape. Hubby likes these too and says the quality is there and the numbers are big and easy to read. Very nice design for holding and using the tape.

I like this tape measure.
I’ve been using this tape for about a week now. Some of the reviews indicated that the hook on the end was loose and affected the accuracy of the ruler. I discovered I had exactly the same problem. However, upon examination I realized that if the rivets were set better, it would put it back into an accurate position. For that reason I used a peen hammer and was able to tighten up the rivets to where they do not slip anymore. It didn’t take very much pressure and I did not hammer hard. Just a few taps and things tightened right up. It is now dead on accurate.I like the heft and feel of the housing of the tape in my hand. I enjoy the separate finger break underneath and the regular locking mechanism works well. I also enjoy that I can stretch the tape out somewhere between 10 and 11 ft before it kinks and falls. That’s much better than the other tapes that I’ve been using.I hope that it will last as long as it feels like it will.

Very good tape mesure, it has very good accuracy and the lock feature is good but it is heavy because it’s 30 feet if you don’t need the 30 feet for something I would just get like the 16′ or 25′ one!

Yeah baby! This is exactly what professional carpenters need. This tape measure is extra strong, extra durable, extra efficient in day-to-day use. It will take a beating and keep on repeating long after all the others have died and failed. You can extend this tape measure beyond 10 feet and it’s still won’t kink or buckle. The retraction mechanism is perfect. The locking mechanism is tight and works without any flaws. You could drop this tape from two stories above, and I doubt that the case would crack. I highly recommend this 30 foot tape measure for anyone that wants good quality that will last them for a good long, long time. Oh, and the red numbering system makes it a breeze to see just a glance; the readability of this tape measure is unbeatable. It’s the best one I’ve ever had!

This is a really good product, robust enough for general site use. Yes it is only Imperial – but it was meant for the US market and happily I’m old enough to use whatever system I want.
