Makes winding yard so much easier
This thing works great once you figure out how to use it and your arm doesn’t ache afterwards. I did have to help loosen the thread on the skein going in to make it run smoother. If you use yarn that comes as a twisted hank it’s well worth the time you save using the electric vs winding by hand.

Great while it lasts (w/ update)
I bought this in March 2025 and it worked great on all kinds of yarn.I have used it pretty regularly (1-2 x per week) with good results.Unfortunately it just stopped working today. No issues that I can see, I was winding a worsted weight yarn and it just stopped.Great while it lasted. But I would expect a longer life than a half year. It’s a shame, it really saved my wrist while it lasted.Update: I contacted Caydo through their website and received a reply within 24 hours. After answering a few questions I was offered a replacement winder.Very fast and courteous customer service and I am very happy with the solution!

Where has this been all my life?
The only reason it’s not a 5 star review is how it attaches to the table. I needed to add suction cups to keep it steady, but an extra $5 well spent! This thing has let me consolidate and organize my yarn stash like never before. The cakes spin up so fast and my shoulders don’t hurt anymore because I’m not cranking them out by hand. The quality of the engine inside is decent. It’s very intuitive to use if you have a manual winder. Try this. It’s worth it. Takes up a little more room than my manual winder, but makes bigger cakes, so I accept the trade off.

I found the perfect yarn winder!
I just got and have made my cake of yarn I had three single strand yarns. Much too small for me. Tied a knot to hold them together as I wanted to make sure they stayed together. And it worked perfectly! All I did was watch to to make sure the yarns didn’t get tangled. And there were no problems’ and the noise was minimal! I am so glad I made this purchase!!

Caydo electric winder
I was really surprised how well it works. Easy to set up and use. It would probably be better if use metal and plastic swift, but it worked with wooden swift but it is slower. It wound up a 8oz. skein just fine. I hope it lasts. Time will tell.

Hi I don’t do review but this time because I bought this Electric yarn winder called Caydo , I need to Leave a review I’m hoping customer service will reverse or whoever sees will hopefully answer to me , about my review, first of all I bought the purple Caydo Yarn winder electric , I was so excited to get it, but when I started to use it I noticed the machine stops and goes stops and goes stops and goes it’s very annoying because she just keeps on stopping and going so , it’s impossible to wind up on this machine so I really don’t know what to do if it’s a defect and I should send her back to Amazon or if I should call customer service and see if they can replace it with A updated new one , or if I should just keep it and wait for to break down completely, but if that happens I cannot afford another one because I don’t have much money because I live on SSI which is disability so I guess if this machine breaks I’m gonna have to go back to just winding the yard and dig balls my hand which is going to be very sad. So to anyone who wants to buy this machine please do not buy it is a waste of money because it stops & goes he keeps on stopping & going . If I could I would give no stars at all for this review!!!!!!! ☹️☹️☹️ Very disappointment upset dissatisfied customer ,I wasted my money!!!!!!!!!!! ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️!!!!!!!!!!

Perfect yarn cakes with minimal fuss… love it!
Easy set-up and after a small learning curve, I quickly wound 10 skeins of acrylic into neat cakes that are so much easier to use and travel with. I have a high-end wooden winder but it gets tiring and requires more adjustments. The Caydo yarn winder is sturdy and easy to use, and required very minimal adjustments and babysitting once I got going.A couple tips… I wind the skeins from the outside and place them on a rotating yarn spindle on the floor, directly under the yarn guide for the Caydo. Start slow and after a small amount is wound, stop and squeeze the portion that has been wound against the rotating spindle to make it a bit taller, which helps avoid yarn slippage and winding around just the top of the winding spindle. I do this a couple times until the cake starts gaining some width and height, and then can walk away and let it run until the end of the skein when I help it use the last bit without tangling. Once I figured out this easy process, I got consistently perfect cakes with minimal fuss.

This is a far more superior winder to their original one. It does work well with a metal swift as opposed to a wooden one. Will wind skeins into cakes withou any trouble. Customer service was A++. Thank you for all your help

L’avvolgi filo Caydo arriva ben imballato e confezionato in una scatola di cartone ( ottima idea regalo). Facile da montare, basta una base piana con un bordo per il fissaggio l’uso è davvero intuitivo è finalmente sono riuscita a mettere ordine nei miei filati ora i gomitoli rimangono più compatti e facili da gestire. La molla di tensione regolabile permette di adattare facilmente ogni filato. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.
