Great blocking set but beware strong smell.
These thick EVA foam blocking boards are just as described. They are printed with a 1×1 inch grid and with radial circles. They can be used with T pins, straight pins, and blocking wires. Very helpful for blocking knitted, crocheted, or woven fabric. The guides make it easy to block pieces evenly and symmetrically. The blocks are thick so pins can be inserted deep enough to firmly hold items without poking through to scratch furniture. They fit together easily with perfectly aligned guidelines. This blocking set comes with a felt case to keep the blocks tidy and clean.Please be aware that they have a very strong odor when unboxed, almost like ammonia. This dissipated after a few hours, but a light chemical smell persists after three days unboxed. If you are bothered by strong smells, consider passing on these or giving them lots of time to air out.Please note: The blocks in my photo were laid out on an uneven surface. When assembled on a flat surface, they all align correctly and lie perfectly flat.

Interlocking is not universal, no flexibility in shapes for blocking
Interlocking is not the same on each piece. Think you are going to be able to create different shape to accommodate long pieces. Nope! Think you are going to easily use two sets together. Nope! I’m stuck with these but you don’t have to be. Move on to a better set. Trust me on this one. I crochet large oval rugs, doilies and table runners, ovals, rectangles and unique shapes. Not just circles

It gets the job done, but definitely smells bad. The lines are not all straight, so if you don’t get the exact right piece in the exact right order, the 1″ squares do not line up. And be advised that the pins are not included.
