Pro-tips: Get these to fit and last
These seem to be of decent quality and for the price you get a number of them that can be used for projects. Once they slide in they fit well but getting them to fit seems to be trick. Here is a pro-tip that made it work for me:1. Like others have mentioned these are not quite 3 inches. I used a 75MM hole saw (2.95″) and it fit real close. I had to do some sanding here and there, could have been the hole saw, could have been the louver, hard to say, but after it was done, perfect fit. I might have gone with a 76MM hole saw, which is actually just a hair smaller than 3″ but I didn’t want to go over. Choose your poison, but I think folks were right in that 3″ would be too big slightly.2. To waterproof it as I needed in my case, I did add caulking around the outside rim and the inside edge. This isn’t needed if you cut the whole to the right size AND you don’t expect it to have water running down it where it might get in the seam between the wall of the item and and louver itself. I probably over did it and it would have been fine without, but it’s an option.3. Once you figure out your hole size, you can rough these up and paint them before you put them in and then put a towel over them and use the wide side of a mallet to tap them in place without messing up the paint and you’ll have a perfect match to whatever color you want. The paint also protects them.4. When I needed two, I put black louvers into a black box, and I treated them with 303 protectant so they would hold up well to the sun. They still look brand new.5. If you find you need a smaller mesh screen than what is provided, put some screen material down on a piece of 2×4 and pull it around tight. Then take your hole saw, and by hand push it down onto the tight screen and twist the hole saw by hand left and right and you’ll cut a perfectly sized screen piece to glue right in.Hope these ideas helped and go you thinking!

Nice little vents
Well made and fit the intended purpose very well. Pay attention to the other reviews that specify that a simple 3 inch hole doesn’t quite work. You really need the metric saw for a very good I was going into wood so easy to wobble the hole to achieve the right hole size.

Ok
Kind of an odd size. Need to find a hole saw that’s not a round number. In other words, it won’t be a 3″, it will be one with a fraction. I can’t remember the exact size. Kind of flimsy. I like the ones with metal screens better. Easy to install once you have correct bit. Functions as intended to circulate air. Look good after install. Used a couple small screws to keep them firmly in the holes drilled. The little nubs on the sides only work well if hole is cut just right.

Excellent quality!
These are excellent quality and the shipping was super fast. The mesh screen pattern is tight enough to prevent bees or spiders and the plastic material is soft enough to allow a nice press fit to a 3″ hole.

Great for venting shed skirting.
Worked great for skirting undernearth my 10×15 shed woodshop. Make sure to use a 75mm hole saw (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CBPRCK4W?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 worked great and only $5) for a perfect fit. I used a small board to help pound the vent into the wood. I also grabbed some cheap 3-in mesh circles to put inside to keep the bugs out.

Good soffit vents with serious deficiencies
These plastic soffit vents are exactly what I wanted and needed…more than 130 all in all for my large home. I would rate them higher, but they have a serious flaw: they have small lines or ridges that are supposed to hold the vent firmly in place…but they don’t. They have begun to fall out of their 3″ soffit hole, one by one, onto the ground. This means that I have to get out the ladder, take the soffit vent back up to the soffit with caulking gun in hand, apply a small bead of waterproof elastomeric caulking around the outside flange of the vent, insert the vent snugly, then remove any excess caulking material that has oozed out of the hole. I paid a man a lot of money to replace those vents a few months ago, and now I’m having to repeat much of his work. These soffit vents would rate at 5 stars if then had several small tabs to hold them in place, along with a fine mesh screen that would do a better job of keeping insects out. I preferred the white color, which ruled out aluminum vents with all the features I have mentioned. Bottom line: this product doesn’t stay in place and requires special handling to secure it.

Perfect for attic venting, high quality
This is one of those unbelievably good products, with consistent quality, item after item. Great price as well. I used this to vent the attic of our hundred year old home. I used 28 of these, and I was impressed by the consistent, excellent quality.

As another reviewer mentioned, a 75mm hole saw works perfect for these, they will tap right in and won’t need glue or caulk.
