Does what I need it to
I was hesitant to try it because of reviews, but it’s pretty good. As long as you have a good solid surface to tighten it on to, it does the job. It’s definitely saved me time winding up yarn that would have taken me 30 minutes to an hour to wind by hand. The accessories weren’t needed but it’s a nice add-on

Easy, reliable, love it!

Great winder! My wife loves it!
My wife loves this! She uses it all the time and it is so useful for her. She has wound at least 30 skeens of yarn with this and it has held up so well and has perfectly spun each skeen into a perfect, ready to use yarn puck. It’s very easy for her to use and is easy to store. And for the price, it has already paid for itself several times over. If you’re tired to hand winding, this winder can do it in about a minute with no problems!

Wonderful simple device. My gosh, what a difference it makes to have a well wound ball when using the sentro knitting machine. I bought a wool jeanie, but plain balls of wool were just pulling the magnetic spindle off the stand as it tightened up on a twist in the ball, very frustrating. Now the yarn feeds beautifully off the spindle, so I’m happy. It’ll be excellent for plain hand knitting as well, nice neat balls of yarn instead of the floppy half finished balls that love to tangle and knot. Really happy with this 🙂
