Good non-elegoo replacement
Good, easy replacement. Takes a couple minutes but runs as good as stock, available already instead of having to wait for OE. Ran for a couple dozen print hours already with no issue

So as everyone knows, there aren’t any profiles for the Kobra 3 Max for larger nozzles than 0.4mm. However, it didn’t take much to get these going. So far only used the 0.6mm and the prints are silky smooth even at 0.3mm layer lines. The nozzle outperforms the stock one in quality imo. I go through a kg of filament every few days so they get used quite a bit, but not a farm or anything just a hobby. Rare stringing, getting speeds around 80-100mm/s but still shaves off 1-2hours a print easy and more on even larger prints.Here are the settings I use in Anycubic Slicer NextDon’t forget to go into printer settings on the actual printer and set the nozzle to 0.6/0.8. This will cause it to do a vibration calibration and PID for the new non-standard nozzle. If you don’t do this it won’t match the slicer profile and won’t print.If you are wanting to do the 0.8mm nozzle just change the line widths to 0.82 and the two other options to 0.85 and then layer height 0.4mm plus the rest of the changes.Each new item that is different than the previous print I do a calibrate flowrate from the touch screen so don’t even mess with the volume 11-12 in the settings that can be adjust but might be useful to avoid calibrating. Only have to redo it on spool/color changeProcess: Advanced onLayer height: 0.3First Layer and Layer: 0.3You can still use finer lines and could do 1st layer 0.3mm and Layer after that as 0.1mm. Do yourself a favor and just purchase this instead!
Ive printed alot with this and I can honestly say at this point it is worth purchasing over the original hotend. Due to exactly the same quality of prints and so far has been extremely reliable. The price as well as availability is a no brainer! Just buy it!

Great replacement if you need it quick
I bought this because Elegoo was backed ordered until the end of September according to their site. I am the one that broke my original extruder and I really didn’t want to wait that long. I took a chance on the one. The quality has been excellent. I can’t tell the difference in the prints I did before and the ones I have done with this one. I have about 40 hours of prints done on this now with no signs of slowing down. Looking them side by side of it wasn’t for the writing saying Elegoo I would be able to tell them apart. I am only printing PLA so I can’t tell you it will work for everything but it seems to handle PLA like a champ. The item arrived the next day and after switching them out I have been running it ever since.

Didn’t expect much. Didn’t want to wait 4-6 weeks for one from Elegoo after I goofed and broke the original one. Actually it’s working quite well for now. Oddly, it was more expensive than one from Elegoo (except shipping, which you can get free over$50).
