Quality sketchbook paper AND fun cover
I was surprised to see a tokidoki sketchbook – I’ve been a big fan for years and happened to be on the hunt for a large spiral bound sketchbook. Usually I find that ‘novelty’ sketchbooks don’t always have the best paper – this one is actually great. The paper is thick and has a very smooth finish (not much tooth) so it’s great for pencil, marker, pen-and-ink work. I don’t use a lot of wet media in my sketchbooks so I can’t speak to that, but I can confirm that even with really dense ink markers like Prismacolor it doesn’t bleed through several pages (though the darkest colors are visible on the back of the sheet). The pages are perforated but not so deeply that pages just start falling out all over (my biggest pet peeve about perforated sketchbooks). I absolutely love this book and if I spot any more by tokidoki I will absolutely snatch them up!

Great LARGE sketch book. Not a notebook
I love this and it is way bigger than I thought it would be. I really thought it was a small little notebook i could use to write it. I like spiral notebooks because it’s so much easier to go to the next page rather than folding it over every time you need to write on a new page and try to keep it from snapping back shut and being all messed up when you shut it. So I chose the spiral notebook to solve all these problems and this turned out to be a huge sketch book. I love it though. The pages are nice and strong too.

This is really a sharp sketchbook. It’s large, and thick with crisp, white paper with which to draw. I especially appreciate how one can easily detach each sheet of paper without any kind of ripping. It’s cute, functional, and makes for a perfect gift.

Great quality as this is for a gift. I thought about going to the dollar store as I know the price point is different, this is definitely worth every penny. The paper was thick and the coil bound was dirty. The cover as well was very well made
