I ordered this after trying (and failing) to cut felt with the fine point blade on my Maker 3. I was frustrated because all the material said I could use the fine point blade for felt and it was a disaster! Once I got the rotary blade it was perfect! Clean, neat cuts every time! I think the blade was discounted when I ordered it, so I felt the price was very reasonable. I have used the blade a lot of felt and it still works well.

Love this addition to Cricut, I cut my quilt pieces. Precision cutting and seam allowance lines drawn on. The only reason for my quilt to be off is the fact that i am lousy at sewing.
