Sure, they’re big, but Fishing licenses have to be visible on BOTH sides for fish and game enforcement. Better yet is if they don’t even have to be folded at all. With these, I can shove other important papers (like fish ID cards) for everybody in, too. Lanyard style (vs safety pin) is ideal for our family for easy on/off, and doesn’t depend on or damage clothing. Can also stick in cabin keys. Seem seriously waterproof. I’ll even attach red bobbers for buoyancy if my family won’t scream they look like Christmas trees. 🙂

Great for travel through airports.
I use these for my cell phone as well as my passport or drivers license as I’m going through airports, so they’re easily accessible, and then I can tuck them away once I’m on board the plane. I also use them when I’m out fishing, for my cell phone, so no accidents with the phone dropping into the lake. It doesn’t quite seal over the cell phone, but that’s OK, it’s all about dropping it.

Love the pocket, hate the lanyard.
The Lanyard is ok at best. It did come with an quick release on it, but as with most lanyards – it was lost within a week. The sleeve fits well in jean pockets or a purse so it is hidden from view when traveling. The seam holds water out very well, and is big enough to hold some extra papers if needed when traveling too. If the sleeve gets folded, the side seams hold well through multiple folds, but can be “stuck” in that fold if it gets warm (such as in a pants pocket).
