I bought the MATEIN 17.3-Inch Computer Backpack for my son to use in high school, and it has held up amazingly well for over a year of daily use. He carries textbooks, a laptop, lunch, and all sorts of extras, and this bag still looks almost new ..no tears, broken zippers, or loose straps.The material is tough and water-resistant, which is great for rainy days, and the padded back support makes it comfortable even when fully loaded. Great, practical backpack. Lightweight and super for organization
I decided that I wanted to travel light from now on when I fly, with just a carry-on suitcase and a backpack. I wanted the backpack to be fairly large (to hold overflow from the suitcase or items purchased on vacation, as well as things I’d want to have access to on a long flight like slippers, my iPad and Kindle, cables and chargers for the phone, etc.). And I needed it to be lightweight because I am a small person. So, once I have loaded it up, I didn’t want it to be unbearably heavy. I also wanted it to have good organization—numerous handy pockets, places for pens, a keyAs usual, I researched this for weeks and weeks, and weeks and weeks. This particular backpack kept popping up. The price was so reasonable that I assumed it wasn’t high quality. But over 105,000 people have reviewed it, and the reviews are consistently good. I was prepared to pay quite a bit more, figuring this would play an important role in future travels for years and could be considered an investment. I order another one that also had good reviews, but was considerably higher in price. But when it came, it was so bulky, heavy, and uncomfortable to wear that I returned it. It probably would have been great for someone bigger than me.So, I finally ordered this Matein backpack. And it’s fabulous. I got it in black, figuring that it’s a neutral color, won’t get dirty fast, and matches everything. I left for a trip overseas right after it arrived. It is lightweight, functional, and was very useful on my trip. The two side pockets comfortably fit a water bottle and an umbrella (I was glad to have it since it rained quite a bit on my trip). And it held everything I wanted to put in it, including a light jacket, a bag of liquids for TSA to check, slippers, reading material, some snacks, and lots more. I love the small anti-theft hidden pocket in the back (great place for my passport and boarding pass), as well as the side pocket that’s in the front, but not generally visible, where I stash my phone. It has numerous pockets to store items in an organized way.Highly recommend!

Fantastic bag. Padded laptop section, more pockets than I can think of a use for, and well-padded comfortable straps. Good, durable material and well-stitched. Zippers and pulls ate quality. A great purchase overall.

Love this bag! This is my second one — the first one lasted a couple of years of daily use, lots of travel, lots of wear and tear. Definitely worth it. Has excellent pockets and organization, comfortable straps and back support, a handy luggage strap, and has worked for day trips, daily work commuting, and traveling. If I were to create a PERFECT bag, I’d only change a couple of things: starting with adding side straps so when I put a big water bottle in the side mesh, it couldn’t fall out (standard water bottles are fine). If I’m worrying about that level of detail, though, it’s clearly a great bag.

Disclaimer: This backpack is not designed for anything beyond everyday use so use a larger full-body backpack for activities like hiking, long-distance foot travel/sight-seeing over several days, etc. This backpack simply will not have the space required.However, this backpack is PERFECT for work, school, day-trips, gym, etc due to the above-average storage space, smart design and comfort. I recently purchased this item and loaded it up with the following: headphones, portable charger, umbrella, drink bottle, laptop + peripherals (mouse, attachable screen and game controller), Kindle, change of clothes, wallet, keys, phone, journal and pens. This backpack handled those items perfectly with the correct storage solutions for everything from side elastics for the drink and umbrella, pockets for the electronics, etc.I love the concept of “backpack for security” and the ability to attach the backpack to a suitcase, lock the two main compartments which coincidentally have my most expensive items inside and hide valuables inside the anti-pickpocket pocket against your back is genius and wins this backpack some awards in my book. The backpack is also wonderfully comfortable despite being loaded up with moderately heavy/bulky items and feels light on the back which isn’t huge for someone like me who doesn’t wear it for long periods of time but if you’re going on a day-trip to the city or walking between classes at school? It’s a lifesaver.The backpack has a charging cable that can connect to your portable charger inside the backpack which is great for charging on the go and also comes with lifetime warranty if you register it which is a nice added bonus and speaks to their faith in the construction and durability of the product.Overall, for the price? This backpack is an absolute steal.
