This yarn bowl is beautiful will hold a very large yarn cake. As far as the crochet hooks go, being a Susan Bates inline hook user, I haven’t tried these hooks yet.

Love this bowl, it’s great for smallish skeins of yarn and does not bruise the yarn as it comes out of the top. It is made of lovely wood, that is pretty to look at. The 4 star is for 2 reasons:1. the guide holes on the side of the bowl, meant to guide the yarn through smoothly does, in fact, bruise the yarn. Meaning, it frays it as it comes through, way more than just running it through the top.2. the set of hooks I received had 2 5mm hooks and no 5.5mm hook. That’s a bummer. Maybe they think 5mm is more utilized, but the I would have liked to have the 5.5mm hook. Otherwise, the hooks are good and have retained their paint which helps with the fluidity of the crocheting process.

I love this yarn bowl. No rough edges anywhere. This bowl is very thick, sturdy, and heavy. I’m glad I purchased it. I love to knit. This will keep my yarn from rolling all over the place especially falling to the floor while I am using it.

This is nice. It was a gift for my granddaughter. She loved it. I would recommend using an Emory board on the area where the yarn goes through the swirl. It could be a tad smoother to avoid snagging the yarn.
