I recently purchased this double-sided print bed for my 3D printer, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my setup. Works great, just follow the instructions.
I really like how it gives the unique finish to the bottom of the print. I’ve done 8 prints with it so far. Not sure how long it will last in the long term but everything sticks well. I let the plate cool down to room temp before removing any parts. In your slicer, you need to select smooth PEI/high temp plate. They also recommend bumping up the plate temp for different filaments. There is a chart on this page. I tried 60° for the first 4 prints. Worked fine. Then I used just the default temps and that also worked fine for PLA. I haven’t tried any other filament but PLA on it but you can print what is listed. Do not get fingerprints on the build plate. I used rubber gloves when handling mine. You can wipe the plate with ISO/rubbing alcohol if you get oils or fingerprints on it. The colors won’t transfer well if there are fingerprints or oils. Just wear rubber gloves to avoid all that. 8 prints and I haven’t needed to wipe it yet. I have about 4000 hours on my x1c so we will see how long this will last. I’d love to try some other plates they have for sale but I can’t afford them all right now.

Keep the door & top closed, then heat up the nozzle and bed significantly!
This plate worked perfectly at standard PETG HF settings the first couple of times that I used it, then it failed to stick on all subsequent prints. So, after lots of forum searches, experimentation, and changing one variable at a time, here’s what’s currently working well for my Juupine holographic plate in my Bambu P1S with .4mm nozzle:* Scrub twice with IPA using clean microfiber cloth. Dry.* Choose the smooth PEI plate in Bambu Studio.* Close BOTH glass top and door* Preheat the chamber for 15 minutes by setting bed temp to 90C* Set initial layer to: Nozzle 250C, bed 90C, speed 25mm/s.* When print finishes, keep door and top closed and let the chamber completly cool down before removing the print.The above settings worked well for me on a 200×230 mm flat shape.Other settings I use on all my PETG HF prints on all build plates:No cooling on first 7 layers, aux fan off, 10mm brim for all large, flat prints.

Better than bambu
This build plate is an awesome alternative to bambus more expensive options. I’ve had zero issues with adhesion I actually prefer this plate over the stock one especially for the texture it leaves on prints.

Love the PEI/PEM beds with diffraction patterns
My wife surprised me with several of these PEI/PEM beds for Christmas.They arrived quickly and packaged decently for safe transport.While I have a Bambu labs X1 printer, I’ve found that these also work perfectly on my Ankermake M5 printer as well, which is very pleasing. Ensure that you re-level the printer after swapping the beds.Adhesion for PLA and PETG is just as good as the stock beds that come with both the Bambu Labs and the Ankermake.Using these diffraction pattern beds changes boring monotonic lines into a beautiful clean pattern (as long as your bed leveling is on point) that looks more like a real consumer product rather than a simple 3d print.I would absolutely recommend this to others

Only able to use one side once
The fit was perfect for my printer but the first print on the carbon fiber side did not release from the plate. Left a terrible amount of base on the plate that I had to literally scrape and scratch off with my fingernail. The surface is marred and unusable now. I thought it was kind of odd that this side did not have a shiny finish to it and was flat or dull. I think it was missing a clear coat or some type of finish to start with.

Got the plate, clean it. Printed something perfect instant failure. Wash rinse and repeat and after a few attempts just before hitting the return button. I rechecked the listing and spotted set as high temp plate. I had noticed that the pla was not being squished down enough but now ohhh yeah baby we were much better. Managed to print a few things and it was perfect. Then decide to print some labels for the plate to to the what is the plate error. Would not print on normal cool plate so switched to this plate and epic results. I bought 4 of these plates and a few boxes of glasses wipes and yeah they work. I would guess the others had issues like I had may have not changed to high temp plate on the item when they sliced there file. Running a small print farm, I will report back as to how long they last. Time today is 3rd march 2024. Let’s see how long they last. I will log the hours of printing and then we will see. So far loving that I don’t need a glue stick. Yes the coloured pattern does go on to the part but once your fingers go on it it goes. Just like the print bed a little rub with a glasses cleaner wipe it comes back.Update 13/4/2024 been printing for 6 weeks solid 24/7, make sure you give it a wipe before each use for zero drama. I print pla now with first layer at 225c then rest at 220c, generally I only use ludicrous mode. Plates do have small dents of repeated prints but really no issues. All four plates are performing perfectly and no glue stick in site. Will update review as needed.
