    Taking Your BP Made Easy
I have to admit that I was skeptical at first, moving from my “old” unit to something less cumbersome, and better for travel. This has worked great though. Power seems to last forever as I’ve had it for over two months and haven’t had to recharge it, Bluetooth connects with the phone automatically when I open the app and select the device. I do a triple reading each time but you can do single ones, too. In a step-up technology, it will take the Diastolic reading first and then the Systolic, meaning the measurements are take while INFLATING rather than deflating, the defacto “standard” necessary when taking a manual reading with a sphygmomanometer and stethoscope.

    I Love This Thing
Apparently, I’m at the age where I’m excited about a blood pressure monitor; sigh. But seriously, this thing is great. I’ve had high blood pressure at doctor visits for the last year or two. Not enough for them to give me medication, but enough to bring it to my attention. I bought this to be proactive and to try to identify patterns about when it’s high and why, and also so I can monitor it as I make lifestyle changes to try to lower it.I almost bought the other iHealth model that has the separate base because I liked the screen, but I ultimately decided on this one, primarily because I loathe disposable batteries and I liked that this model is rechargeable. I’m really glad I chose this one, it’s so convenient and portable! I didn’t think I’d care about that since I use it mostly at home, but it’s super compact and easy to keep anywhere without having some bulky contraption hanging around to look obnoxious.I chose the iHealth brand because I liked the idea of the app. You can use the app on your phone but it also automatically uploads to their cloud interface so you can sign on from a PC to view charts, etc. I will say the charts are less than ideal and could be better, but they’re okay. You can email them to yourself or others (like a doctor) via PDF and other formats, which is nice. The thing I like most about the app is having the start button on the phone. I like that I can start it that way instead of using the button on the unit so that I can sit quietly for a moment before I begin without reaching over to press the button. It’s a minor detail, but handy. You can also skip the app entirely if you prefer and the unit works without it.Setup was extremely easy. I find it to be accurate, at least as far as I can tell. My very first reading was almost identical to the reading my doctor got only 4 days earlier. It connects to Bluetooth automatically as soon as I open the app, and it also automatically uploads each reading to the cloud interface. It even shuts itself off and disconnects when I’m done so I do nothing except hit the start button, it couldn’t be easier.I like this so much that I came back to Amazon and ordered an iHealth scale as well, so I can monitor my weight loss, which is one of the lifestyle changes I’m making to lower my blood pressure. That will upload to the same interface so I can see everything in one place. I feel more in charge of my health with these units and I really like the ability to track my progress in the app.

    Love this whole system
As a heart transplant patient, I have to monitor vitals daily. This is perfect. I have the BP monitors, scale, thermometer and o2 meter. It has been very reliable.I like that it creates a history so you can go back and know where you were with your numbers a year agoEasy to link up to your phone or tablet.I wrote a book and recommended another brand that has since gone out of business. I will be changing it to reflect this brand name. Also check out book: My Beat Goes On – chronicles of the heart transplant patient available on Amazon in nine countriesThe system is very affordable since this is YOUR health, invest in yourself.

This little sucker works but be sure to “calibrate”
The compact size is what attracted me to this BP monitor. Just slip it on and hit go. The app is very straight forward and the monitor easily paired with my phone. Measurements are pretty quick and easy to read. The app will accumulate readings and historical readings can be viewed for trends. You can also allow readings to be sent to your Apple Health app which is pretty cool. Recharging is super easy and a full charge lasts weeks with daily use. That said, I took the monitor to a doctor’s visit because my values were reading a little high. They measured my BP with their equipment and I measured using this monitor. Turns out, this product runs a little higher than what my doctor’s office measures so there is a mental “adjustment” that I do to align the measurements between this monitor and my office visits. Her guidance is just like a weight scale. The numbers are the numbers and just watch for increase/decrease rather than the exact values. (accuracy vs. precision)Knocking off one star since the velcro from the cuff constantly tries to stick to the zippered storage pouch which makes taking it out / putting it back a bit of a hassle. But that’s just a convenience thing and not a knock on the unit itself.

What a marvellous piece of kit and even comes in its own very smart light grey and orange neoprene zip up case. Very easy to use (but you MUST charge it fully before first use). Showed it to a friend and she has ordered one, also ditching her box and hose type monitor. The app for your phone being free is what sold it to me – many others charge you for the product and then charge you heavily for using it.
