Great versatile heat gun
This is great heat gun. It is sturdy and well worth the cost. I purchased it to use with my craft projects. It has different settings for the heat. It will stand on one end which makes it nice not to have to worry about it laying against something and damaging the surface. It has attachments so the heat can be more concentrated to a specific area.

A versatile tool that should fill a variety of needs for the home DIY’er. I ordered this tool to help with a delicate repair of small wires that needed to be spliced together. Since I’d lost my older heat gun, and after much review readings, this looked like it could be just the tool to use on the heat shrink tubes, with solder in the connection, to complete my repair. I’d set up a “dry run” of my wires to make sure I could get the right heat setting, along with the air speed, and the ‘test run’ went perfect. The dual setting of the fan on this gun is extremely functional, and the adjustable temperature setting allows for a wide variety of different sized wiring jobs. Once set, and with my test runs being successful, the tedious repair was completed quickly and with perfection. It fits comfortably in my hand and the “standing” feature, as pictured in the description, works well for other uses. It’s quick to use and easily packs back into its box after use and stored out of the way. So, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and for the price, it was a much cheaper than taking my electric bike to a bike shop for repair. Highly recommended.

What I noticed is that you need to be extremely careful with this heat gun. It gets hot fast. It does work in the sense of shrinking tubing around wires which is nice when you do a lot of electrical work. However as it is drawing a lot of power (amps) the cheap plastic body gets warm quickly. It does do the job but just be aware of how long you keep it on. The end near the coil can easily burn you even with the guard. I do like the size of the handle and the outer guard. I also appreciate the heat range options and the funnel bits to direct heat where needed. They are cheaply made so I am not sure how long they will last – but good idea to create something like this.
