This heat gun heats up quickly and has been incredibly useful on our boat. We use it for defrosting the fridge and freezer as well as melting heat shrink connectors for wiring. The weight feels solid and well-balanced, not too light and not too heavy, which gives it a real sense of quality. It feels durable, and we expect it will last for many years even in the tough marine environment of the Caribbean. Very easy to use, heats up fast, and works exactly as needed. Attachment got stuck on the gun
The product was on time. It works like it should and the only thing that I had a problem with was one of the attachments that I put on to try and make sure they fit right got stuck on the gun and I bent it a little trying to get it off. I started a return on this product and at the last minute changed my mind because I put some oil on the attachment that was stuck on it and after waiting 24 hours it came off easy just using an old rag to pull it off. It’s a good gun and gets hot fast so I do recommend it. What happened with the attachment can happen with any brand I believe.

This works great for a lot of my projects from my hobby bench to my workshop and no open flame to worry about. Removable deflector is easy on off it just slides over the nozzle. Nice long cord gives you a lot of freedom while using it.

Solid cheap heat gun that just works
I grabbed this Genesis heat gun mainly for shrink wrapping electrical wires and it absolutely does the job. The high/low temp settings are simple but effective – low is perfect for heat shrink without scorching anything, and high has no problem blasting stubborn materials or speeding things up. The included nozzles are actually useful and not just filler; the reduction and deflector tips make it easier to focus the heat right where I want it.I also use it for flash drying acrylic and spray paint on canvas, and it’s been a little workhorse there too. It gets hot fast, and even after a bunch of sessions it still performs like new. For the price, it feels surprisingly sturdy and doesn’t seem fragile or “toy-like” at all.A couple minor downsides: the two-stage temperature control is fine for most tasks, but if you’re looking for super precise, dialed-in temperatures or a digital display, this isn’t that tool. It’s also not the quietest thing in the world and the front end gets very hot, so you need to be a bit mindful where you set it down. But honestly for what it costs, it’s a great value and definetly more than good enough for DIY electrical work and art projects.

Amazing for the price doesn’t break and isn’t finicky the turning on switch is kinda weird the way it works when you turn it off you can press too hard and turn it on the opposite side on the other power setting on both sides low or high you can accidentally switch to when trying to turn it off but other then that it’s light works amazing gets hotter then 180*C it will burn you if you touch the nozzle I touched it unknowingly and thought what I was heating up touched me and looked like melted plastic but the gun nozzle touched me and instantly melted my skin I’m a guy who can handle myself so I thought it was plastic so I grabbed at it to pull the melted plastic off but I pulled my melted skin off and that’s when I realized it was my skin do not let kids use this AT ALL even with an adult watching unless they have severe hand and face and chest arm leg entire body protection but the kid would probably overheat in the suit you’d have to wear I still use it without gloves or a jacket because I learned my lesson but this goes to show it’s a hard working tool NOT A TOY but works as intended and is to be treated like so no matter the ignorance or anything this thing does what it’s supposed to 5 out of 5 would buy again or recommend

I honestly thought from some of the reviews that this would just spontaneously catch on fire and kill everyone I loved. Instead I got a really great heat gun, and one of the adapters was the exact width of my tablet I was replacing the screen on meaning I could get super accurate with where I was applying heat.It worked flawlessly and I would buy another one of these in a heartbeat. What I saved replacing my tablet screen myself (old Tab 3) paid for this heat gun first use. Seriously considering offering to replace friends screens on the weekends for some extra spending money.
