Great Notebook
First of all, the design is gorgeous. The beautiful endpapers really lend a sense of elegance to the whole notebook. As seen in my photos I did add some cute little Halloween stickers on the cover of mine. I love to customize my notebooks and sketchbooks and the solid color color lends well to that. The cover is soft and flexible but seems sturdy. The notebook lies flat when opened which is nice, and if you wanted you can also fold it in half for easier notetaking. I appreciate the numbered pages and the index in the front since I will be using it for multiple topics this helps with organization. The two ribbon bookmarks also seem like a great way to save multiple places if you are taking notes and/or using it as a 2-subject notebook. I find the included stickers as a nice little bonus if you need to label the book with your name/subject/dates etc. The pages themselves hold up to most typical pens. I only got bleedthrough if I went really aggressively and repeatedly in with marker or ink straight out of the bottle. It is even ok with Posca pens if you don’t press too hard. You can very slightly see marks on the opposite side of a page through the other but it is not enough that is very obvious or bothers me. I’m quite impressed that for pages which seem quite thin to be so resilient. Overall I think the quality is quite nice and it seems to have been designed quite thoughtfully not only for utility but aesthetic.

High quality pages and beautifully designed
Zen Art Supplies Modernista Bullet journal is well made and very durable. The cover is pretty, soft and easy to clean if dust or drink got on it. The pages are smooth and can take quite a lot of ink as demonstrated. If you apply enough ink to the paper, it will tear. I wouldn’t recommend this journal for heavy art projects that require various types of media unless you’ve thoroughly tested first, other-wise, this is great for drafts, doodles and lists. This journal performs how I’d expect a more expensive journal should. The paper is much higher quality and the pages are numbered with minimal distraction from what you’re trying to achieve. I can switch between pages easily and find my spot with the two ribbon bookmarks included. This journal is designed beautifully and very well. It’s similar to the composition books I had in my earlier years of school but a lot nicer. The Japanese ‘Tsuru’ crane design is gorgeous and fits the overall aesthetic of the Modernista series. My only peeve is that the only lined pages are index pages (4) total. This isn’t a big issue if you’re not picky about whether or not your journal has lines, but for those who like the more traditional style, you might want to consider looking at alternatives. The packaging was simple, nothing fancy. It came in a standard shipping bag covered in a thin plastic bag and sealed from protective elements. It was clean, simple and easy to open. Overall I give the Modernista Series Bullet Journal by Zen Art Supplies a 5/5. It’s pretty to look at, durable, travel friendly and worth the price.

Journal delight!
When it comes to the ZenArts Supplies Bullet Journal-Modernista Series(Turquoise) I was highly impressed due to its overall packaging, appearance, useful journal facets, and the creative personal touch to the journal! First off, its appeal from first sight was a real delight because the Turquoise color was very eye pleasing as well as the running red fox design on the side pages of the journal! I also appreciated how the journal was packaged carefully in plastic and had no damage whatsoever. Secondly, the journal cover itself was smooth and bendable if you wanted to easily write or draw anywhere. I love how I could flip through pages if I wanted to but I wouldn’t need to because there was page numbers if i wanted to find something I worked on. Thirdly, the journal was super organizational because of the index it contained in the first pages of the journal and the page numbers throughout the journal. You could honestly never misplace anything meaningful to you. There is also 2 journal book strings (turquoise and white) to help if you dont want to loose your place and walk away for a minute as well as storage at the back of the journal for anything you want to store (ideas, scrapbook inspiration). I thoroughly enjoyed the dotted design in the journal because it helped me stay steady with my drawings and I actually made more symmetrical lines to my actual sketches and ended up creating some neat artwork! I never used a bullet dotted journal so it was really exciting to try something new! I really loved the personal touch from the design artist of the journal because it included a positive quote in the beginning and ended with an informative definition at the back of the journal about the traditional Japanese design of the fox on the side, front, and back insides of the journal. The journal contains a thin paper like a notepad feel which I wouldnt suggest watercolor but this is a journal to write and sketch rather than paint in because there is watercolor paper for that. Overall, this writer/artist is highly happy with this journal!

Indice4. carta color avorio5. estetica: un oggetto bellissimo, con una stampa tradizionale giapponese sul bordo delle pagine, colori splendidi6. dimensioni: 17,8 x 25,4 cm, più grande della classica agenda che di solito è un A57. si apre completamente (apertura a 180°)8. elastico per tenerlo chiuso9. tasca alla fine10. 2 segnalibri11. stickers per il dorso del libro e la copertina (io li applico solo quando finisco un bullet, in modo da sapere a quale periodo si riferisce)12. 154 pagine13. ho già detto che è bellissimo?Contro:1. non va bene se cercato un oggetto leggero, perché la dimensione e lo spessore delle pagine lo rendono piuttosto pesante.2. manca l’elastico porta penna: ne ho comprato uno che si incolla in fondo all’agenda e ho risolto.Nel video si vede come il pennarello nero molto pigmentato non passa attraverso la pagina, mentre un acquerello molto bagnato ha lasciato lievi tracce sulla facciata seguente. Le pagine pur essendosi intrise d’acqua con l’acquerello non si sono deformate!Consigliatissimo!

Das Notizbuch ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet und optisch sehr ansprechend gestaltet. Die Dots sind 0,5 cm x 0,5 cm. Das Papier ist sehr gut, es gibt keine Durchdrücke bei Filzstiften und Füller, so dass es optimal als Bullet Journal genutzt werden kann. Das Papier ist nicht strahlend weiß, eher ein gebrochenes Weiß. Die Seitennummerierungen sind unten und angenehm unauffällig. Die ersten 5 Seiten sind liniert und als Inhaltsverzeichnis vorgedruckt. Ich habe mir gleich noch mehrere Farben bestellt.

Great little book so far…I’m a bit of journal junkie, and I really like the size and weight of this book. It is standing up well to my writing and drawing habits….I have even done a few water colours in it’s pages (although that is not it’s intended use).NOTE: went to purchase again and found the exact same item has DOUBLED in price! I bought 2 for 50$ last year. I will not pay 52$ for 1 book. That is robbery.
