Good value for the price!
No issues yet with the press yet! While I have not had this long, I have used it multiple times, and it seems to function just like the name brands. I bought it for my classroom to use for making sublimation T-shirts, and have not had a problem. I will say that the handle is a small concern if you have to apply pressure- it doesn’t feel like it would hold up to firm pressure- but it works for my needs.One additional note- I was not paying attention the first time I put I down, and did not have it square on the tray- thingy. It melted a corner and I had to wipe it off of the press. It is fine and didn’t cause a problem, but be cautions that the entire tray is not heat proof and the edges will melt if not careful..

Heat Press vs Regular Iron
For years I have been using a regular iron, minus the steam to do regular transfers and recently vinyl transfers. It was a debate over several days as to whether it would be worth it to buy a portable heat press. I was questioning my decision even as I unboxed the AST&T heat press I ordered. I had some cotton canvas bags washed, pressed, and ready for transfers. First I tried the setting for the transfers I purchased: 305F/10-15 Sec. I had to apply heat 3 times at this setting. Still I had difficulty with the edges peeling up. I had the same issue when using the regular iron. Next I tried the setting from the Guide that came with the press: 340F/30 Sec. Some edges still did not adhere to the bag. I adjusted the temperature to 345F and kept the press in place instead of moving it as I did with the regular iron. The result was much better. I had to wrap a pillow case around my fingers to press down some of the edges and small details of the transfer as I peeled off the protective film. At times I had to apply a little more heat. I did seven bags. By the fourth bag I decided the press was worth buying. I knew that the temperature was consistent over the entire transfer. I also liked not having to keep my eyes on the clock, try to count the seconds or reset the timer on my phone for each bag. The item description on the page said that the press came with a canvas bag and several transfer sheets. The one I received came with two tiny transfers: one with the letters AST&T and the other with some type of abstract design. I threw both of them away. The bag is a nice bag, but it is not made of canvas. I can’t put anything on it until I figure out what kind if material it is.

I brought this heat press to make so short for a family reunion and it work so good . Like a dupe for a circuit heat press without the high cost and the size

Seemed great, until it wasnt
Seemed like a great budget press that would be more worthwhile than cricut brand. The second use, however it completely died and would not turn back on at all. Of course we didn’t get to use it much initially so now on failure our return window has closed, now we’re stuck with an $85 extra large paper weight. Not sure if it’s a loose wiring connection since the wires that run into the machine are very flexible and seem like they could pull out easy. Maybe this is a fluke but I’m not spending another $85 to see
