They do scrape, however, they can and will damage your plate!

Will dig and scratch into printer plate
Sharper than I expected!! It will definitely cut or scrape your 3d plate is not super careful. It worked better when my print was warm still. If it stuck and was cold it would dig in. Not really 3d safe.
